This morning, I was dashing out the door in a frenzy and, in a plea to the goddess of inner poise and confidence, I threw my trusted chocolate scrunchie over my pony without properly securing things. Somewhere between the house and the train, the wind betrayed us and, all too soon, my dear friend was lost. To say my heart is devastated is an utter understatement. Let this be a lesson to us all: buy the scrunchie without regret. Secure the scrunchie without haste. And cherish your friends before they’re gone.
